This is my first english post, right now, I’m living in US to learn english and I will use this space to write things in english to train my english writing.
So, I came to US in novenber 2024 and I’m here since then, I’m studing and learning about the american culture.
It’s a very nice country, and my english has been improving a lot. During the weekends I use to go to some place with my wife and kids to spend a good time with then. During the week I study a lot in school and out the school too.
The best thing about living in US is that I lost my fear of speaking with other people in english. Another improvement is that my brain now works in english too. Being able to think in english helps a lot and is very good to practice. I can understand almost everything that people talk to me, sometimes I need to ask the person to repeat, but in general I’m doing pretty well.
The hardest part for me it is understand how a person usually speak, because is not just translate the words from Portuguese to English, americans have their own way to communicating that most books don’t cover.
This is a short post, just to say that I’m back and that I’ll be writting in English from now on.
